YOUTH PATHWAYS PROGRAM: GRADES 6-9

Best For: Any Youth in grades 6-9 looking to explore hands-on, creative object making in a safe, non-intimidating, and fun manner

The Chicago Industrial Arts & Design Center (CIADC) Youth Pathways Program is an educational series for grades 6-12 that exposes Students to hands-on, industrial arts and nurtures interests that can lead to post-secondary pathway opportunities in STEM, Trade, and Art/Design.

Youth Pathways Program: Grades 6-9

  • New Students will work on guided projects that focus on fundamental skills and processes of the Department

  • Returning Students can design independent project(s) using the tools introduced in Class, with instructor guidance

  • All Students will complete a project and gain a better understanding of the processes involved with making objects and how this relates to STEM, Trade, and Art/Design fields
