CIADC’s Immersion Classes are designed for those who are not able to commit to a typical once per week, 5-week or 10-week Class schedule, and/or for those who want the continuity of a Monday – Friday creative learning and working experience. Immersion Classes also serves as the initial Department certification for our Studio Access program.
Immersion Classes are open to ages 16+, of all skill-level and interest.
Be immersed and grow leaps and bounds with your creative object making!

Casting Instructor Jasmine Yeh will lead a discussion and demonstration of a variety of methods for joining cast metal objects together. Designing and planning for these connections while designing the object can expand your options for the size of the finished object, mounting or presenting the object, or even joining additional materials to the cast metal object.

Come see a demonstration of how to use the CNC router to precisely mill a negative space for an inlay pattern that can be filled with another piece of wood or another material such as epoxy. This workshop will cover creating the steps you need to know, from designing and cleaning up the computer CAD model to setting up the CNC router.
This workshop will be led by Tech Department Manager Michael Pantelios.
